I said I wouldn’t start writing in this blog until I was ready to start revising my book. But, alas, this is where it starts. With a weird title and an even weirder observation.
I’ve noticed that my Muse likes to mimic what sorts of media I consume. If I’m reading or watching Lord of the Rings, it starts wanting to write in that old prose style Lord of the Rings was written in. If I just read an awesome thriller, I start to mimic that writer’s style. It is something a lot of writers and authors must combat, and so a lot of writers and authors don’t read while writing.
My problem, however, is a bit different.
