About
Who is Chris Walker?
Chris is a 27-year-old college graduate with experience in a little bit of everything. He has been a filmmaker/producer, video editor, voice actor, writer, game developer, photographer, technical support specialist, trade show organizer, IT technician, salesman, and hobbyist Christian apologist.
He is currently writing novels and working on his acting and IT careers….
…all at the same time.
Yes, it’s a little bit like juggling. But then again, one never knows which career will take off.
Biography
Chris grew up in a small town in the middle of Kansas. After attending Kansas State University and getting a degree in Mass Communications, he moved to Colorado Springs, where he currently resides, met the girl of his dreams, and got a job as a video editor. When that didn’t work out, he became a salesman while he got his A+ Certification. He is now looking for work as an IT technician. Prospective employers are invited to look at the Resumé page.
Influences
Chris’s influences are varied and many. He became a fan of Star Wars and writing at the same time when his brother Matthew got him his first novel, Star Wars: X-Wing: The Bacta War for Christmas. It was book 4 in a 4 book series. During that same year he also took over Matthew’s game that he got for Christmas, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and became a fan of computer games and flight combat sims in the process. Matthew was left with nothing, and at his wits end, had to resort to becoming a Star Trek fan because Chris never let him play his own game. Poor Matthew.
His brother Andrew, meanwhile, suffered from none of these issues of brother-on-brother psychological violence. Instead, he merited only mild concussions when Chris would occasionally knock him upside the head with a pillow. (Which, seriously, was really fun to do. His expression post-pillow was always priceless. No, really.) Suffice it to say, of the two, Andrew got lucky. But I digress.
Chris became a Christian when he was three. But it wasn’t until college when he made his faith his own, when he became interested in Christian apologetics. As a follower of Jesus, Chris maintains a healthy interest in theology and philosophy.
It was this interest that caused him to develop an interest in American politics–but not the shrill and raving aspect of it that one tends to find from every political spectrum when skimming the surface of talk radio and the Internet. He is conservative, but tries hard to not be obsessive about it and to instead prefer clarity over agreement.
